Communication is a strong point for you, whether in an email, slide deck, or Zoom call with clients. You make the complicated seem simple, and turn complex topics into clear action steps. This results in high client trust, not only in your results, but also in your strategic thinking and foresight.

When things don't go as planned, you are the first to take accountability. You are open-minded and driven to learn as much as you can, regardless of whether it aligns with your existing assumptions.

Objective

The Strategist leads client engagements to successful outcomes, resulting in long-term client retention and scope expansion, as well as referrals to new business.

The Strategist’s main KPI is Managed Revenue, defined as the revenue paid to Rocket Clicks by clients for Organic Search services, shared among the participating team members. Each Strategist is expected to manage $20,000 in revenue. The exact Managed Revenue expectations will fluctuate due to company conditions, and will be visible and communicated regularly to the Strategist. 

The ideal candidate is not only a passionate, independent, and confident digital marketing expert with an emphasis in SEO, but also has excellent people skills and can effectively discuss digital strategies from the perspective of a growth-minded business owner.

Responsibilities & Processes

Account Strategy (60%)

  • SEO for local, ecomm, lead gen, B2B, SaaS clients

  • Cross-service (paid search) opportunity analysis

  • Performance analysis

  • Experiment ideation and prioritization

  • Long-term strategy setting

Client Relationship (20%)

  • Excels at leading regular communications (email, video call, chat channel)

  • Quarterly business reviews

  • Establish & maintain trusting relationships

Team Contribution (10%)

  • Delegate & give feedback to rising Analysts

  • Contribute to team playbook improvements & process

  • Audit other client accounts, prospect accounts

  • Support in training newer Analysts

  • Host relevant team trainings

  • Stays up-to-date with new trends, information, insights & industry standards

  • Self-teach new tactical skills & emerging channels

  • Participate with Manager on growth plan & coaching

Qualifications

Required

  • 3+ years of experience in digital marketing with an emphasis on SEO

  • Minimum of 1 year SEO experience with on-site optimization and copywriting

  • Passion for SEO and online marketing

  • Experience managing 4+ clients

  • Strong writing skills in digital marketing that include: copywriting, clear client communication, webpage content writing, editing/proofreading, presentations

Preferred

  • Relevant Certifications: Google Analytics

  • Prior experience with Lead Generation and E-Commerce businesses
